Ion exchange resins are widely used in water treatment for the removal of various contaminants including natural organic matter (NOM), heavy metal ions, anions, boron, surfactants, pharmaceuticals and dyes, due to their specific advantages such as easy implementation, low cost, reversible regeneration and stability of organic polymers.
