Note that in order to use detectAndCompute () we need an instance of a keypoint detector and descriptor object. It can be ORB, SIFT or SURF, etc. Also, before feeding the images to detectAndCompute () we convert them to grayscale. WebORB is found to be least scale invariant. ORB (1000), BRISK (1000), and AKAZE are more rotation invariant than others. ORB and BRISK are generally more invariant to affine changes as compared to others. SIFT, KAZE, AKAZE, and BRISK have higher accuracy for image rotations as compared to the rest.
